And Central Station, Belgian designer Paul Delaisse’s collection of furniture and lighting, is also globally inspired, but decidedly contemporary: Delaisse travels the world in search of distinctive lumber, and then crafts streamlined pieces from his finds.

The natural grain, burls, and beauty of wood sit center stage in Paul Delaisse’s handmade furniture. The Belgian designer travels the world in search of distinctive lumber, and then crafts singular streamlined pieces from his finds. Take the Giacometti basic table, with its reclaimed-teak top and tapered legs. Or check out the ingenious Cargo lounge chair, featuring a steel frame, teak armrests, and khaki-colored upholstery made from recycled tent tarps. We've also added in some beautiful handmade rugs, in overdyed finishes and eye-catching patterns, which will make a perfect counterpoint.
